Cascade.

The water falls, falls and falls,
unstopping,
with a bellow
whose echoes resound,
shattering, clattering and scattering
the fragile silence
of the serene, green forest.
The water falls, falls and falls-
cutting deeper,
making steeper
the incline of the boulder
that it saws, claws through-
until the gradual abrasion
transforms it into a vision
of untouched art.
The water falls, falls and falls-
and I find myself
falling, never stalling,
swimming- brimming with life-
in the rapidly descending pool
until my body drowns,
breaking the water’s surface,
so crystal clear,
sheer joy in my soul;
untold were these stories,
engraved in the barks of the trees
of the serene, green forest
whose fragile silence was
shattered clattered and scattered
by the resounding echoes
of the bellows
of the unstopping water
that continued to fall, fall and fall.
