Devilish Destruction.

I pictured the devil-
Living amidst darkness,
Wearing a hooded, black robe,
A sinister smirk on his lips
And a glaze in his eyes.
Little did I know that he lived
Amidst laughter and love
Wearing a facade of warmth
And a welcoming smile.
He camouflaged, invisible,
Amongst the beauty
And magic of the world,
He ripped it apart
And shattered it to ruins-
Not from the exterior
But from its foundations within.
For the devil was a god
Whose only sin lay
In his destruction of beauty;
His destruction of himself.
