Deceptive Fragility.

A book on a shelf, hard bound,
With a joyous splash of colors,
Bright and contrasting.
The pages on the inside,
Frail and fragile, untouched,
Covered in hues of blue and grey.
Pictures painted,
Of a certain lust for life,
And a certain child-like imagination,
Which hinted at the innocence,
And the hidden serenity and growth.
Words written
In amusing alliterations,
Of simplicity and zest,
With a tingle of melancholy.
A book lay on a shelf,
With a deceiving cover,
Waiting to be discovered.
